Gan i Ruthun ennill pwynt bonws yn Y Bala hefyd, mae’r bencampwriaeth yn parhau heb ei setlo gyda Rhuthun angen ennill eu dwy gêm sydd weddill gyda phwynt bonws yr un.Nant oedd fwyaf blaenllaw drwy’r gêm ac yn mynd 7 - 0 ar y blaen ar ôl 6 munud drwy i’r pac wthio trosodd. Nant completed their League season with a comprehensive bonus point win away at Dolgellau. As Ruthin gained a bonus point win at Baba as well, the championship is still undecided with Ruthin needing to win both their remaining matches with a bonus point each.Nant were slightly ahead throughout the match and scored with a push over try after 6 minutes play. The no 8, Adam Russell was the scorer. Trystan then weaved his way through four despairing tackles after 25 minutes to score an unconverted try. A score of 0-12 at half time then.Twenty minutes into the second half, Carwyn ap followed his own kick ahead down the field and was the first to reach the ball and touch down beneath the posts. He duly converted his own try. Within another six minutes a loud cheer from Nant supporters could be heard all around Dolgellau as Daniel Newcombe, the replacement Centre scored an unconverted try away on the left hand side to gain the bonus point.At the last minute of the game, Huw Wilcox barged over for a try for Dolgellau that was converted by Gerwyn Thomas. An excellent end of season for Nant, therefore, with all eyes turning now to see how Ruthin will cope in their final two games. Oh yes, there’s also the matter of the final of the North Wales Cup that is to be played against Denbigh at Eirias Park next Sunday afternoon, 3rd May, with the kick off being at 1.00 p.m. Please turn out in force to give as much support as possible to the boys for the game and to cheer them on!
